High Voltage Kids Ministry | Early Childhood (Birth - Pre-K)

Covid Guidelines Guidelines During COVID-19: All Early Childhood workers will be screened and have their temperature checked every time they serve. They will wear name tags and masks the entire time they serve.

We will ask parents to verify the following:

My child does not have a fever (100°F or higher) and has not used medication to reduce fever within the last 24 hours.
My child does not have a cough, shortness of breath, or other COVID-19 symptoms.
My child has not had pneumonia recently.
No one in my household has had contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days. All areas, toys, and supplies will be cleaned before and after services.

We will encourage children to wash their hands often and use hand sanitizer as needed.

We will encourage children over 2 to wear masks through fun games and gentle reminders when possible – but wearing a mask is not required. Parents can provide masks and we will have disposable masks available.

To reduce the spread of germs, we will not accept personal items except for essential items for young children such as a diaper, change of clothing, bottle, pacifier, etc. A Ziplock bag will be provided at check-in for these items. Diaper bags and infant car seats will not be accepted.

We ask parents to pre-register your children on our new digital check in app when you plan to attend. This will help ensure we are appropriately staffed.

Check-In Process:

We are really excited about our new check-in system, KidCheck! It will make the check-in process easier, faster, and more secure!

Check-In will open 20 minutes before each service.
At check-in, parents will receive 2 matching security stickers. You will place one sticker on your child’s back and assist with putting on your child’s mask, if applicable. You will keep the second sticker to present at check-out when you pick up child. Note: You can also use the “guardian receipt” in the KidCheck app to check out you child.
Parents will not be permitted beyond the Check-In Counter.

Pick Up & Check Out Process:

Parents will pick up their child at the designated check-out station by presenting their printed security sticker or their digital “guardian receipt” in the KidCheck App.
We will not give candy at check out.

Children will be assigned to socially distanced seats in the SLAMatorium and classrooms will be set up for social distancing, but at times children may be closer than the recommended 6 feet.

Class sizes and interaction between classes will be limited as much as possible.

Bounce houses and video games in the Party Zone will not be used.

All volunteers and staff will wear name tags, and masks the entire time they serve.

We will ask students to verify the following:

The student does not have a fever (100°F or higher) and has not used medication to reduce fever within the last 24 hours.
The student does not have a cough, shortness of breath, or other COVID-19 symptoms.
The student has not had pneumonia recently.
No one in the student’s household has had contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days. Students will be required to wear a mask. The worship team and speaker will not wear a mask on stage.

Social distancing will be encouraged, but at times students will be closer than the recommended 6 feet.

We will encourage students to use good hygiene and use hand sanitizer often.

All areas and supplies will be cleaned before and after services.

We will not serve any food or drinks unless students can be socially distanced.

Sunday Services and Classes:

Parents are responsible for the health and safety of their student when they attend main services in the Sanctuary on Saturday and Sunday. You should communicate to your student who they are allowed to sit with and if they should wear a mask when they are closer than six feet. If unmasked students sit with others outside their household, we will assume parents have given them permission to do so.

8:30am

Students will hang out in the Reality Area from 8:30 – 9:00am and then they will go to one of two classes – Middle School or High School.

10:00am

Students will attend service in the Sanctuary. If students choose to sit together in the Sanctuary, they are encouraged to wear a mask the entire service.

11:30am

Students will hang out in the Reality area from 11:30am-Noon and then go to Connections Classes with their Class Pastors and Staff

Wednesday Services:

6:30pm – Middle School Service in Reality Room
6:30pm – High School students hang out in Reality Area
7:30pm – High School Service in Reality Room
7:30pm – Middle School students hang out in Reality Area

Connections Class Covid Guidelines

While many classes are open, reopening in-person classes will be a class-by-class decision, so contact your teacher for more information.

Guidelines During COVID-19:

Classrooms have been reset for social distancing with the recommended 6 feet between family units. Classes may meet in different rooms to accommodate their group size.

We encourage everyone to wear masks.

Offering will be taken with a touchless system.

Attendance will be recorded digitally by a class volunteer.

Teachers and class members who are sick should stay at home, particularly:

If they have a fever.
If they have symptoms of cold, flu or COVID-19.
If they have been in contact with anyone who has Covid-19 in the last 14 days.

Additional class activities must follow social distancing and mask guidelines.
