High Voltage Kids Ministry

Birth - 5th Grade

Our New HVKM Lobby & Portal

Opens May 1-2, 2021

What's new?

Big changes are coming to High Voltage Kids Ministry!  Starting May 1-2, all kids birth through 5th grade will check in and out at ONE central location – in our amazing, newly-renovated Kids Ministry Lobby in the Main Building.

Elementary-aged kids will now walk from our new Kids Ministry Lobby in the Main Building through the Portal to the MAC!  These changes will be more convenient, faster, and safer for your family!  We’re looking forward to this exciting change as we Make A Way for families to check their kids in and out in ONE central location!

How do I check in or check out my kid(s)?

Parents of all kids birth through 5th grade can park your car, ride the shuttle right to the doors, and walk your kid(s) right inside the new Kids Ministry Entrance.  From there, we’ll check in your kid(s) through KidCheck and you can head upstairs to service or class!  After your service or class, you can simply come to the new Kids Ministry Lobby, check out your kid(s), and head to the car!

KidCheck

If your kid has attended Kids Ministry (Early Childhood or Elementary) any time since September 2020, you have a KidCheck account for your child.  If not, getting started is easy!  Just get the KidCheck App and set up your account (use the buttons below to get the app and set up your account).

Check-In

There are several ways to use KidCheck with our new lobby!

Let Us Check In Your Kid(s) For You!

We can check your kid(s) in for you!  Just walk up to one of the counters or volunteers with iPads in the Kids Ministry Lobby and give us your phone number.  From there, we’ll get some brief information from you, take any supplies needed for your baby or toddler, and print your kid’s name tag(s) as well as your guardian receipt.  Then, we’ll get your kid to the right class/service for their age-group while you head upstairs for service or class!

Check In Your Kid(s) Yourself Inside the Lobby!

You can check in your kid(s) yourself inside the Kids Ministry Lobby by walking up to one of the iPad stands and entering your phone number.  From there, you’ll follow the prompts on the iPad to get your kid(s) checked in.  Then, your kid’s name tag and your guardian receipt will print to a nearby printer.  Grab your stickers and take your kids to the check-in counters – we’ll get your kid(s) to the right class/service for their age-group while you head upstairs for service or class!

Check In Your Kid(s) Before Arriving Using Express Check!

You can check in your kid(s) before you arrive (from home, in the car, or while you ride the shuttle).  Open the Kidcheck App (click the button above to get the KidCheck app), select Express Check, and follow the prompts in the app to get your kid(s) checked in.  Then, when you arrive in the Kids Ministry Lobby, click the green button on the app and pick up your kid’s nametag and your guardian receipt at the Express Check counter.  Then take your kid(s) to the check-in counters and we’ll get them to the right class/service for their age-group while you head upstairs for service or class!

Check-Out

To check out your kid(s), come to the Kids Ministry Lobby and walk up to one of the check-out counters.  Give us your kid’s name and show us your guardian receipt.  Once your kid comes out, you can then head to the car!  Shuttles will be picking up right outside the Kids Ministry Entrance to take you to your car.

I only have a kid in Early Childhood. What does this mean for me?

If you only have a kid in Early Childhood (Birth – Pre-K), you will continue to go the the same location (the new Kids Ministry Lobby) to check in and check out your kid(s).  You can park your car, ride the shuttle right to the doors, and walk your kid(s) right inside the new Kids Ministry Entrance.  From there, we’ll check in your kid(s) through KidCheck and you can head upstairs to service or class!

We will now have a dedicated printer for Express Check that you can use, and if you don’t want to wait in line for the check-in counters, you can also use one of the iPad stands to check yourself in.  See “How do I check in or check out my kid(s)?” for more information on Express Check or using the iPad stands.

After your service or class, you can simply come to the new Kids Ministry Lobby, check out your kid(s), and head to the car!

I only have a kid in Elementary. What does this mean for me?

If you only have a kid in Elementary (Kindergarten – 5th Grade), you will no longer drop off and pick up your kid(s) under the yellow awning at the MAC.  Rather than driving up to the MAC to drop your kid(s) off under the awning, now you can park your car, ride the shuttle right to the doors, and walk your kid(s) right inside the new Kids Ministry Entrance.  From there, we’ll check in your kid(s) through KidCheck and you can head upstairs to service or class!

Your elementary-aged kids will love the exciting new Portal to the MAC featuring fun lighting and greetings from their favorite SLAM characters on the TVs along the way.  They’ll also love the brand new Power Outlet store where they can spend their power bucks! It’s no longer just a glass display counter full of toys – instead, it’s a fun shopping experience!

After your service or class, you can simply come to the new Kids Ministry Lobby, check out your kid(s), and head to the car!

I have kids in Early Childhood and Elementary. What does this mean for me?

These new changes are a huge help for families with multiple kids – now, it’s one stop on your way in to service!  Instead of driving up to the MAC to drop off your elementary-aged kid(s) and then going to the Main Building to drop off your Early Childhood kid(s), now you can park your car, ride the shuttle right to the doors, and walk your kid(s) right inside the new Kids Ministry Entrance.  From there, we’ll check in your kid(s) through KidCheck and you can head upstairs to service or class!

Can I see the new Portal and Power Outlet in person?

Yes!  Parents of kids in Elementary can walk with their kid(s) through the Portal the first time on May 1-2 or on May 7-8, check out the Power Outlet on the other end, and then return to the new HVKM Lobby.  We’ll have a security check point at the Power Outlet and our security team will be in place to ensure everyone’s safety while parents are touring the new facilities.

Our General Policies

HVKM opens 20 minutes prior to each service/event.

Children are to be brought to the check-in counter by a parent/guardian and will only be released to the parent/guardian with a Guardian Pick-Up Sticker.

Parents/Guardians should come for their children immediately following the service or event they have attended.

Please see that items belonging to your child are properly and clearly labeled.  This should include:  diaper bag, diapers, plastic bottles/cups, pacifiers, drinking cups, and blankets.

Babies will be fed pre-measured formula, milk, or juice as provided only by the parent/guardian. Toddlers will be provided with a snack and water.  Time and circumstances do not allow for any other type of feeding (including spoon-feeding infants).

We try everything in our abilities to calm an upset child for up to 15 minutes. After that, we will call the parent/guardian. That time frame can be catered for each family until the child feels comfortable staying at HVKM.

SLAM

SLAM is our service designed for kids in Kindergarten to 5th Grade.  Your kids will enjoy a power-packed hour filled with hilarious games, fantastic music, crazy characters, and powerful teaching from the Bible!  Each week our kids learn the exact same thing as the adults, but on an elementary-aged level, so that families can learn and grow together each week!

You can check out our SLAM services live each week and on demand at slamkids.tv!  Feel free to watch online with your child and get an idea of what they can expect in our weekly services!

Centered Only On Love

COOL Kids is a Special Needs Ministry serving children 5 years to 5th grade.  Our trained staff works with kids individually to teach them a personalized, hands-on Bible lesson each week.  Our goal is to provide the opportunity for those with special needs to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially.  We strive to promote friendship in an encouraging and fun environment, to make ministry with families experiencing a disability a natural part of church life−not a special one, and to show the love of Jesus and present the message of salvation to everyone!

COOL Kids takes place on the bottom level of the Main Building.
